What is a group call?

posted Nov 6, 2010, 7:04 PM by JunctionVox Support

Group call or multi-party call is a way to call multiple people (more than one) at the same time.  A 3-way call is a good example of a group call.  A teleconference or conference call would also be a good example.

JunctionVox provides an easy, yet powerful way to make group calls.  Unlike a 3-way call, the JunctionVox group call allows you to call up to 15 people at the same time simply by dialing a number rather than dialing individuals one at a time.  Also, unlike a teleconference or conference call, which works by particpants calling in to a designated number, the JunctionVox group call calls out to the participants  when the host calls a designated number for the group.
